Sadly, no twinkly lights - - - - - - - but oh, the magazines! And the his'n'hers hangers!
A delicious supper (by delicious, I mean someone else made it, brought it to me, and took the plates away when I was done. And also, extra points for actually being delicious.), a comfy bed, a warm husband . . .

Discovered the ur-sweetshop, and bought some socks. I suspect, with socks like these on offer, it wouldn't have mattered how many pairs of socks I had brought with me.I'm going to stop this post here, because managing all these pictures is proving EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. I'll tell you about Uncle John tomorrow.

Did you buy sweeties for me?
Great socks - I hope they are 'your colours'! I'll look forward to seeing you model them around the village.
Well done for all that walking.
Very impressed by the hotel room. Apart from all the other characteristics you mention, who could ignore the insanely small floral wallpaper - amd could that be a completely pointless sheep silhouette on the window sill?
Twinkly lights apart - hah! surely a perfect retreat.
Looking for something a little different for next year? Why not try Las Vegas - see http://localcut.wweek.com/2007/03/26/chris-rabely-the-fear-of-heights-bright-lights-wash-our-sins-away-vegas. Did that link work? Hope so: rather amusing blog.
LOL,

Your husband looked very well after his w/e away - thanks for letting him come for James' first mass as we call it in high church speak.
Alice
Your Maj. - of course I bought you sweeties. When are you coming to get them?
Julia - You are jealous, aren't you!
Elaine - after two aperetifs, a Very Sound bottle of Cab. Sauv. and a port, wallpaper and twinkly lights became rather moot. But 'pointless'? In a hotel called 'The Lamb'? And no, the link didn't work.
Hi Alice! I don't suppose you are considering setting up on Blogger are you? I'd read you. I'm glad the mass went well - it must have been very special.
